LORETTA MONACO

WRITER / DIRECTOR

Loretta Monaco has written dramatic pieces for theatre groups in New York, in particular Working Stages, where two of her plays Wanda Magic and What's the Matter with Mother? were performed off-off Broadway, and with the Playwright's Co-operative in London, where a rehearsed reading of Addie's Choice was performed at the Old White Bear in Kennington.

Testimony is a three-hander set in a holding pen in Manhattan Criminal Court on the night of the 1987 Wall Street crash. Its dialogue is a knife-edge exchange among characters who embody a sinister-comic reality that triggers the stuff of nightmare.

Testimony enjoys its first London production as part of the Camden Fringe Festival 2015.
